  • 1½ cups granulated white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp red liquid food coloring
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups crushed Oreo Cookies (cream removed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 410°F.
  2. In a stand mixer bowl, beat cubed cold butter and sugar on low speed for one minute, then increase to high speed for another minute until creamy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually add red food coloring and cocoa powder on low speed until fully incorporated.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together cake flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt.
  6. Combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture gradually while mixing on medium speed until smooth.
  7. Chill dough uncovered in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
  8. Crush Oreo cookies into small pieces in a separate bowl.
  9. Measure out about 3.5 oz of dough per cookie ball and roll into balls; coat each ball in crushed Oreos.
  10. Place cookie balls on parchment-lined baking trays about three inches apart and bake for 10-11 minutes until set but soft in the center.
  11. Cool on trays before transferring to wire racks.
