  • 450 grams ground beef
  • 450 grams ground beef sausage
  • 12 medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cups cooked white rice
  • 480 milliliters chicken broth
  • 1.5 cups mixed onions and bell peppers, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Toss shrimp with seafood seasoning and set aside.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sauté shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until opaque. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining oil and brown ground beef and sausage.
  4. Add chopped onions, bell peppers, and minced garlic; sauté until softened.
  5. Stir in seasoning blend and flour to combine.
  6. Pour in chicken broth; simmer for about 5–7 minutes.
  7. Fold in cooked rice; simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Return shrimp to skillet; mix gently before serving.
