  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 loaf Brioche or Challah bread
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • Maple syrup (for serving)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Combine melted butter, chopped pecans, brown sugar, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Whisk together eggs, cinnamon, pumpkin spice, vanilla extract, milk, pumpkin puree, and sweetened condensed milk in a large bowl.
  5. Layer half of the sliced bread in a greased baking dish. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over it followed by half of the egg mixture. Repeat layers.
  6. Top with pecan mixture and bake for about 40 minutes until golden brown.
