1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 cup chicken broth, beef broth, or vegetable broth
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/2 pound green beans, ends trimmed
1/4 cup peanut oil, avocado oil, or safflower oil
Instructions
Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, broth (of your choice), cornstarch, and sesame oil until smooth.
Heat the Oil: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add enough frying oil to coat the bottom.
Cook the Green Beans: Add trimmed green beans in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes without stirring until blistered. Stir occasionally until tender-crisp.
Add Garlic and Sauce: Push beans to one side of the skillet; add garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Pour in the sauce and stir until all beans are coated.
