  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 pound green beans, ends trimmed
  • 1/4 cup peanut oil, avocado oil, or safflower oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, broth (of your choice), cornstarch, and sesame oil until smooth.
  2. Heat the Oil: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add enough frying oil to coat the bottom.
  3. Cook the Green Beans: Add trimmed green beans in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes without stirring until blistered. Stir occasionally until tender-crisp.
  4. Add Garlic and Sauce: Push beans to one side of the skillet; add garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Pour in the sauce and stir until all beans are coated.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Remove from heat and serve immediately with rice or your choice of protein.
