  • 1 Fuji Apple, sliced thinly
  • 68 slices turkey bacon (or crispy mushrooms for a vegetarian option)
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 4 tbsp salted butter
  • Fresh thyme
  • Fresh sage
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Mayo
  • 2 tsp Everything But The Bagel seasoning
  • 1 tsp honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and bake turkey bacon on a baking sheet for 15-20 minutes until crispy. Increase oven temperature to 400°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix Dijon mustard, mayo, everything but the bagel seasoning, honey, and chopped sage to create the sauce.
  3. Spread sauce on two slices of sourdough bread and layer with cheeses, turkey bacon (or mushrooms), apple slices, and thyme.
  4. Place sandwiches in an oven-safe skillet. Top with butter and bake for 8-10 minutes until cheese melts.
  5. Sear each side in a pan over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
